Muthanga is the second-largest wildlife sanctuary in Kerala and an important part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. Teeming with an abundance of wildlife, here elephants roam freely and tigers are sighted occasionally. Various species of deer, monkeys and birds also call Muthanga home.
